Yep, it's time for another blog post in our meet the team series. Say hello to Sara Catanzaro. Sara is our fabulous Design and Marketing Manager. If it wasn't for Sara's creative talents, your favourite Zesti scrubs wouldn't even be here. Sara has been a big part of the engine of Zesti, not only from a product deifgn point of view, but also in terms of builing the brand of ZEsti, from the seedling of conception, to now!
Let's get to know the brains behind the scrubs.
I trained as a fashion designer at De Montfort University, Leicester. I always was interested in fashion and used to do a lot of sewing so it was the natural career choice for me. I then worked for 15 years at a workwear supplier designing uniforms for the healthcare, workwear and hospitality sectors. My career naturally progresses into category management and marketing and I've been lucky enough to cover both sides of product lifecycle since.
My main hobbies, which take up most weekends, are watching my beloved Gloucester Rugby and being pit crew for my family and friends at a motorsport venue around the UK and Europe!
My mum always told me to treat people like you want to be treated. Its always stuck with me and apparently I tell people a lot!!
My Flute. Although I haven’t played it properly since school, I loved being part of the orchestra and one day hope to go back to it. It was also a generous gift from my parents so means a lot to me.
I would love be to a cat. As a cat lover myself, to be able to sleep up to 18 hours a day and basically do what you want when you want sounds like a dream! 🐱
She's quite clumsy, always banging into things cause she's too busy talking or playing on her phone!
I was in the hotel at our Preston offices so it was a Premier Inn burger and chips – Yum!
Wow, that’s a hard one
1. Mary Poppins – Reminds me of being a kid and is such a happy film that you can sing along to.
2. Greatest Show – There's a theme here isn’t there! I love to sing along (not that I can sing!)
3. Independence day – I don’t know why but I could watch this film over and over again.
Mode is definitely my range, sleek, fashion forward and minamilist, especially in Dusk.
The customers! Meeting people from all different walks of life and different industries fascinates me. I love knowing that I've designed something that is worn by the healthcare heros trained to help look after people at their time of need.
